Floating Clouds

The Navajos have a wonderful term for a great realization or insight hat is not sustained.  They cll it a floating cloud..  It's just there. It is beautiful in its shape and we describe it and we talk about it---and then it dissipates because it hasn't been mobilized or grounded or sustained.  On the spiritual journey we are generating lots of floating clouds.  We need to ground them so that they can become part of our very being.  Nothing changes unless it is grounded and manifested.  We can have many wonderful "aha" moments and epiphanies, but unless we embody them as parts of us, nothing really changes.  These experiences or "floating clouds" must become an integral part of our very being,  We must have the intention to incorporate them into our daily lives if they are to last.  Whatever your practice is, whether it be through , or meditation, or contemplation, or a combination of these, the practice must be consistent if you are going to experience a permanent shift in your worldview.  This is how you can assist in bringing about the transformation that we are all seeking.
